Behinehsanj Engineering Co

Interview with the CEO

Q: While introducing yourself, please describe the activities of Behine Sanj Engineering Company.

A: I am Vahid Karimi, a graduate of Isfahan University of Technology with a master's degree in electrical engineering in 1994. I started my professional activity while studying as a research faculty in Isfahan University of Technology Jihad and during more than 20 years of activity, I have mainly worked as a project manager. In the beginning, the field of activities in the field of electrical engineering was general and included the design and construction of industrial control systems and the implementation of hardware projects in various industrial fields. Gradually, with the specialization of projects, two main trends in activities emerged, which continue to this day. 1) Design and construction of intelligent traffic control systems 2) Design and construction of new dimensional control gauges based on highly accurate sensors.

Q: When does the history of activity in the field of dimensional control gauges go back?

A: In 1975, we first became acquainted with this subject. During a visit to one of the auto parts manufacturing complexes, we escaped samples of these gauges made by European companies. At first, the goal was to repair the existing puzzles, but after a year of research, design and construction

Similar or completely new confusions were on the agenda. In the first few years, these activities were carried out in the form of a project company, along with several other fields, but in 1978, with the establishment of the Optimometer Company, it was transferred to this company and continues to this day.

Q: Explain a little more about dimensional confusion.

A: One of the most important parts in production lines is quality control stations, and in the production lines of sensitive and precise parts such as the automotive industry, quality control of parts is very important in terms of dimensions and geometric tolerances. Dimensional control gauges are tools by which the operator quickly controls one or more dimensions of the part with the desired accuracy and approves or rejects the part. Optimometer Company has been a leader in manufacturing electronic dimensional gauges in the country. These gauges are very useful in mass production lines because manual and mechanical control, in addition to low accuracy, is generally time consuming and in lines that require 100% control of parts, the manual and traditional methods are not responsive.

Q: If possible, clarify the issue with an example.

A: Consider that in a crankshaft production line, about 1000 cranks are produced daily, which must be 100% controlled at the final station and before packing. Each crankshaft in the final station has about 30 control parameters in terms of dimensions, all of which we have only less than 30 seconds to control. While the parameters have accuracy of 1 ٪ and 01 ۱ mm. There is no way to solve this problem except using multi-electronic systems. These systems control each clamp in seconds and display the results together on a computer monitor. The operator looks at the monitor to see if the part is approved or rejected. It can also archive the results for future tracking.

Q: What is the range of your customers and how many systems have you provided to the industry so far?

A: Major customers are major auto parts manufacturers (parties to major automakers). Apart from them, there are also customers of these puzzles in the military and steel industries. During the last 15 years, we have done more than 70 different projects in this field, and we are happy that in all parts of the country, the gauge devices made by the Optimometer Company have been used by esteemed customers.

Q: To what extent does this field of activity depend on abroad?

A: The result of continuous efforts of the optimizer has caused that in addition to providing the required sensors in the gauges, other items such as design and manufacture of mechanical fixtures, instrumentation and hardware and software are all done in the country using experienced experts. Of course, in all these cases, strict observance of international standards and regulations has always been considered.

Q: What is your after-sales service policy? Have you been successful in this area?

A: It is always the first step to provide new and sophisticated systems.

The next step, which is more important, is the feeling of security and comfort of customers from the quality of internal devices, as well as our availability during service and after-sales service. Thank God, since the goal was to satisfy customers from the beginning, we have been able to fulfill this responsibility to a large extent with proper and fast planning and responsiveness to customers, although it is better for customers to judge about this.
